Tawheed Foundation Brings Joy to Sanda Taindaren Chiefdom during the Eid al-Adha celebration.
In Sierra Leone, the Tawheed Foundation made this year’s Eid al-Adha celebration particularly memorable for the people of Sanda Taindaren Chiefdom in Karene District. Tawheed Foundation sponsor by One Ummah Charity UK, organized a special event where 50 cows were slaughtered and distribute meat to the villagers. This act of charity and solidarity brought together various communities in the chiefdom to celebrate in a way that many had not experienced in a long time.
For many of the villagers, eating meat on this special occasion is a rare blessing. “Many Muslims here cannot afford to buy a sheep, let alone a cow,” said one community member. The communal slaughter of the cows allowed for a generous distribution of meat to hundreds of families, ensuring that the joy of Eid was felt by everyone, regardless of their economic situation.
PC Sheik Abdul Rahman Bangura, CEO of Tawheed Foundation, expressed his gratitude to One Ummah Charity UK for their continued support. He urged the villagers to hold tightly to their faith and consistently perform their daily prayers.
The community’s appreciation was tangible, with heartfelt thanks extended to both the Tawheed Foundation and One Ummah Charity UK for their generosity.
The success of the event highlights the power of collaboration and compassion. By providing meat to those who could not afford it, the Tawheed Foundation and its partners helped bring dignity, joy, and spiritual fulfilment to the people of Sanda Taindaren Chiefdom. The celebration was not just a reflection of Eid’s religious significance, but a testimony to the enduring spirit of community and generosity in Sierra Leone.
This delivery of meat is made possible by One Ummah charity a UK Based Muslim Charity. Our team and beneficiaries wish to express our gratitude to them and their donors.
