Tawheed Foundation-Sierra Leone Distributes Qurbani To The Poor And Needy In Karene District.
As millions of Muslims across the world were celebrating Eid al-Adha; one of the biggest holidays in the Islamic calendar and a public holiday in Sierra Leone, Tawheed Foundation Sierra Leone hosted a huge Muslim congregation to observe the Eid prayer on the school field at Roshaka village on Wednesday, 28th June, 2023.
Our CEO and Founder; PC Sheikh Abdul Rahman Tejan Bangura, who incredibly also doubles as the Paramount Chief of Sanda Taindaren Chiefdom, Karene district led the Eid prayer and where he subsequently delivered a powerful sermon on the origin of Eid Al-Adha which is also known as the feast of sacrifice, Dawah and the need for everyone to maintain peace and tranquility at all times especially now that the country has just emerged from a very tensed multitier election.
Shortly after the Eid prayer, we unveiled the 2023 Qurbani Distribution Project to the mammoth crowd that had gathered. This delivery of meat is made possible by One Ummah charity a UK Based Muslim Charity. Our team and beneficiaries wish to express our gratitude to them and their donors.
