Masjid Construction
At Tawheed Foundation Sierra Leone, we recognize the undisputed fact that without personal and spiritual development for human beings, there can be no social development. In most of the rural communities we work in Sierra Leone, mosques are the places where personal and spiritual development happen. Mosques also double as community centres and places of learning.
WATER WELLS PROJECT
The Water Wells Project seeks to not only reduces the health risks of water-related diseases such as Diarrhoea, but also increases the earning potential of households by reducing sickness and time spent gathering water. Presently, One Ummah Charity has funded the construction of over 100 Hand Dug Water Wells across communities in Karene, Port Loko, Tonkolili, Bombali and Kono districts.
QURBANI PROJECT
The overall objective of this project was to provide fresh and Halal meat; mainly to needy selected vulnerable Muslims in our proposed operational areas so that they would have sufficient fresh meat for Eidul Adaha celebration and beyond. Recognizing the importance Qurbani Islamic tradition attaches to the Islamic religion and Muslims globally, Tawheed Foundation Sierra Leone, has been performing Qurbani on behalf of our donors in some of the poorest communities in Sierra Leone since 2009.
ORPHANS SPONSORSHIP
The main aim of this project is to drastically reduce the financial burden of these orphaned children from their caregivers and move them from illiteracy, sexual and criminal exploitation to being educated and proud Sierra Leonean Muslims. The project is largely succeeded in providing care to the orphans who did not have parents or guardians to look after them as well as assisted them with psychosocial support and to return some of them to school.
